70 YEARS ON, THE HUTCHWILCO NZ BOAT SHOW RAISES THE BAR WITH ITS BIGGEST PRIZE BOAT YET
As the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show marks its 70th year, organisers are celebrating the milestone in unforgettable style, announcing a show-stopping Hutchwilco Prize Boat valued at over $380,000 — the most impressive giveaway in the event’s history.
Boating and fishing enthusiasts nationwide now have the chance to take home a fully-equipped marine masterpiece. The prize package includes Surtees Boats’ latest release – a brand-new Surtees 770 Game Fisher XL, with the powerful Yamaha F350 4.3L V6 engine and cutting-edge Yamaha Helm Master® DX system. Also featured are a complete suite of Garmin electronics, a tandem axle trailer from The Trailer Shop, Zipwake trim control, and a SEP40 Bow Thruster with Helm Master integration from Advance Trident, and loads more world-class gear from leading marine partners.
“We’re thrilled to be offering a truly once-in-a-lifetime prize package,” said Cliff Schick, General Manager of Surtees Boats. “Thanks to the support of our incredible partners, we’re able to build this boat and give it away — which we think is pretty special. This prize brings together the very best of New Zealand’s boating scene and gives one lucky winner the ultimate gateway to adventure on the water.”
He added, “Shimano have come on board with an impressive $10,000 rod and reel package, while Hutchwilco, in partnership with O’Brien Water Sports, are contributing a $4,000 watersports package to ensure hours of fun on the water.”
