WE SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST

For 10 years running, Surtees have supplied the Hutchwilco Boat Show with the Grand Prize, and it’s just kept getting better! The 2026 iteration was no exception, with a $380,000 Surtees 770 Game Fisher XL up for grabs. Our lucky winner, Mark, and his brother had their handover this week and they’re ready to get out on the water and put the XL through its paces, cruise some of NZ’s beautiful coastline, and bring home some fish.

2026 was a bittersweet year for Surtees, as after 10 years of partnering with our epic sponsors and making lots of dreams come true, we’ve decided to step back and give the competition a go at building the next dream boat. We can’t wait to see who takes on the challenge next, and what they can deliver to the 2027 winner!

A little bit about the boat – Our most impressive Prize Boat yet was won at the Hutchwilco Boat Show, which took place from the 14th – 17th May at the Auckland Showgrounds.

Our winner, Mark, went home with this package worth over $380,000, including the Yamaha F350 4.3L V6 engine and full Helm Master, full suite of Garmin Electronics, Trailer Shop trailer, another awesome wrap by Brave Design, Lusty & Blundell set us up with full lighting by Hella as well as pumps, window wipers and evolution rod holders. Zip Wakes, Bow Thruster and Diesel cooker from Advance Trident, Lone Star GX3 Drum Winch and line counter, Boat Dek by Batavian, Starlink set up, and the list goes on!  Hutchwilco have supplied all the safety gear, O’Brien Watersports supplied a $4,000 watersports package, and we can’t forget the $10,000 rod & reel set up from Shimano!
