Here at Surtees HQ we’ve had a busy few months! We kicked off the year with our Annual Fishing Competition back in Whakatane, closely followed by the Auckland On The Water Boat Show, the launch of our new Premium Game Fisher range and then the highly anticipated Hutchwilco Boat Show in Auckland & the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in Queensland.

Surtees Annual Fishing Competition

The most anticipated community event in the Surtees calendar, the Surtees Annual Fishing Competition returned in full swing this year. Hosted in Whakatāne, the competition brought together hundreds of enthusiastic anglers—all of them on board a Surtees —to compete for prizes across multiple categories, including snapper, kingfish, kahawai and trevally. More than just a tournament, the event celebrates the spirit of the “Surtees Tribe”, offering a chance for owners to share stories, test their skills, and enjoy the camaraderie that defines the Surtees community.

In 2025, Surtees Boats continued to solidify their reputation as a leading manufacturer of premium fishing boats by actively participating in major boat shows across the region. Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show

Surtees Boats made a significant impact at the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show, held at the Auckland Showgrounds, showcasing their entire new Premium Game Fisher range, as well as the recently released Workmate Pro.

The highlight of the show was the 770 Game Fisher, which was featured as the grand prize. This fully equipped vessel, valued at over NZD $360k, showcased Surtees’ latest innovations and attracted considerable attention from attendees. Massive thanks to all our sponsors who made this possible!

 

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

In Australia, Surtees Boats, alongside one of their local dealers, Northside Marine, participated in the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, held on the Gold Coast. The company displayed its entire new Premium Game Fisher range, which was well-received by Australian boating enthusiasts. The show provided an excellent opportunity for Surtees to show the Australian public the exciting innovations coming out of HQ.
