New Stand a Hit at 2017 New Zealand Boat Show

New Surtees Boats stand sees 11 models on display and special guest appearances over Boat Show weekend.

Moving to a new location for 2017, Surtees Boats exhibited their biggest display to date with 11 boats on show at stand 380. Models ranged from the compact but very capable 495 Workmate to the mighty 750 Game Fisher, with exceptional package deals on offer.

Celebrating the move Surtees Boats included a $5000 upgrade for one lucky customer plus the $150,000 Surtees / Yamaha Boat Show grand prize package drawn under police supervision, won by keen fishos the Irfaaz family from Auckland. The show days (18-21 May 2017) enjoyed a record turnout with numbers up 5% compared to 2016 according to show organisers.

New Zealand chef Al Brown joined the Surtees team on the stand over the weekend and got to see for the first time, his new Surtees 575 Pro Fisher. Al was not the only one impressed with his new centre console, the Pro Fisher got a huge amount of attention, including from show judges, who awarded it winner of ‘Specialist Fishing Boat Up To 6m’.

Demonstrations on the Surtees stand included a unique live boat wrap completed over two days, and a live demonstration from Scott and Mig from the Fishing & Adventure TV series. Families were thrilled to see their TV fishing hero’s give them expert tips on boat set up techniques and how to haul in those bigger fish.

Sales & Marketing Coordinator James Kayam said ‘Surtees Boats continue to live up to their reputation of being one of the most reputable and trusted New Zealand boat manufacturers. Our new stand and boat award has reinforced this and we look forward to exhibiting at the 2018 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show’.
